Outdoor Fieldtrips
SJMA and San Juan Public Lands offer FREE spring and fall field trips to various sites on the San Juan National Forest. Students learn a range of outdoors, environmental and/or conservation topics through interactive activities. Topics may include: habitats, adaptations, evidence animals leave behind, birds, trees, senses, and many more! Stations are taught by volunteers or employees from the Forest Service, BLM, Fort Lewis College and/or the general public. Schedules fill up fast, so reserve your field trip day now!

Kids4Trees
Kids 4 Trees will be happening again this year and SJMA will need lots of volunteers at Vallecito Reservoir on May 3-4, 2011. This year the Bayfield schools 3, 4, and 5th grades will be participating in planting trees at Vallecito. More information will follow as we get closer to the date. To volunteer contact: Kathe Hayes, 970-385-1310 or kathe@sjma.org

Winter Discovery Walks

Winter is a beautiful time to re-discover the outdoors. Join SJMA for snowshoeing (conditions permitting), examination of tracks, snowflakes, and our wintry world! Programs can take place at your school, for your organization or in the forest.
Call to reserve your date. Contact Gabi Morey 385-1256
