National Public Lands Day- September 24, 2011

National Public Lands Day, an annual event on the last Saturday in September, is an opportunity for local citizens to participate in preserving America’s most treasured spots and favorite places. National Public Lands Day is a free day in many federal fee areas, including the BLM Anasazi Heritage Center, which also serves as headquarters for Canyons of the Ancients National Monument.
Frequently Public Lands Day projects complete work that might otherwise never get done.    For more information about NPLD, visit www.publiclandsday.org.
