Elizabeth Reid is a second generation native of Durango. Her grandparents
homesteaded on the Florida Mesa where she grew up. After graduation from Durango High School, she moved to
Albuquerque, NM where she attended UNM for two years before returning to
Fort Lewis College where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary
Education. Her husband of 27 years is a District Wildlife Manager for the
Colorado Division of Wildlife and she has also worked for the Division
during hunting season for the past 12 years. She has two children; Travis
is a Senior at Northern Arizona University and Brandon is a Junior at
Fort Lewis. She will be working for the SJMA at the Pagosa Ranger District
on a job-sharing basis with the Division of Wildlife during the hunting
season.
